This project is designed for the adventurous beginner up to the more advanced weaver. We will use techniques like hemstitching and pick up sticks. Full photo instructions and details are included as well as links to additional resources where appropriate.
The Stepping Up Scarf is a double play on words - the pick up design looks like steps going up and it's the perfect project to step up your rigid heddle weaving skills!
Here is what you will need to complete the project
Rigid heddle loom 12” weaving width or wider (resource page is provided in the pattern if you desire a different width)
* 1 x 10 dent heddle
* 1 stick shuttle longer than the width of the project
* 1 pick up stick longer than the width of the project
* Direct warping peg or warping board
* Reed and threading hook
* Tapestry needle for hemstitching
* Fringe twister, if you want twisted fringes
* Scissor
