I first came across this weaving technique many years ago when I was researching Russian weaving.

I was very interested in bold patterning and different ways I could achieve that with my rigid heddle loom.

I found that there was a technique named “Branoe” that was used to create folk style motifs and designs on weaving

In this resource you will find written instructions for my free video tutorials on Youtube that use the Branoe technique.

This was actually suggested and requested from students who loved the technique and my tutorials, but wanted to be able to access the written instructions easily and in one place.

The idea is to use the written resources here along with the videos. No searching for instructions, it’s all here laid out for you!
